American Golden-Plover
This rare migrant was first seen in September 1984. The dozen birds seen near
Bradley Junction in March of 1999 was an amazing sight. Two birds were found at the Circle B Bar reserve in spring of 2010.

Black-bellied Plover
An unusual visitor from the coast, absent in mid summer, and found mostly in
PPM. A high count of 53 was recorded in March 1985. Last seen in May of 2011.The LCBC maximum of 1 was in 2000

Semipalmated Plover
A fairly common migrant, spring and fall, found in PPM. A high count
of 142 in May 1990 was recorded but a couple dozen is more common.

Killdeer *
A common permanent resident of fields and wetlands. Winter flocks of
over 100 have been reported. The LWCBC high count of 785 was in 1996 ; LCBC
686 in 1967.
