Double-crested Cormorant *
A common to abundant permanent resident found near lakes and phosphate pits. They sometime team up with a flock of White Pelicans to form a dense feeding flock on local lakes. Over 3,000 birds were counted in a PPM in late March of 1999. The LCBC high count of was 3,953 in 1999.
