Smooth-billed Ani *
Formerly found in small colonies throughout the region. All Anis disappeared from Polk County after the freeze of 1989 and have not been seen here since. I expect them to recolonize the area in a few years as they can be found <100 miles to our south. LCBC high count of 17 in 1979.
